Honda X-ADV Launched : India’s First Adventure Scooter, Priced At Rs 11.90 Lakh

Honda X-ADV Launched In India: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has finally introduced the X-ADV on the Indian shores that signals a new era in the premium two-wheeler segment. At Rs 11.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the new crossover scoot marries the off-road potential of an adventure tourer with the practicality of an everyday maxi-scooter. The X-ADV can be booked at all BigWing dealerships throughout India and deliveries will commence from the month of June 2025.

The X-ADV comes as a new proposition in India’s premium two-wheeler industry, combining futuristic design with the promise of versatile performance and state-of-the-art tech. It’s also the first adventure scooter from India, establishing a segment that’s meant to be high on functionality through the week and adventure on the weekend.

Design and Looks

The Honda X-ADV stands out as a crossover machine that defies convention with adventurous design and innovative features. With its aggressive stance, molten styling and 2-tone, dual-purpose LED headlights, the X-ADV truly stands out. Shaped by human hands, one of the key tenets of Honda’s motorcycles is that their form must follow their function. Falling from the tall windscreen and angular bodywork, the lines are just an extension of the inspiration taking you from the front of the bike to the well around tail section.

The X-ADV is furnised with adventure-style hardware such as 17-inch front wire-spoke and 15-inch rear wire-spoke wheel rims with block pattern tires. Such a setup, like those of real adventure bikes, allows for flexibility in terms of terrain while there is stability for road use. Finish: The X-ADV is offered in two premium colours options to enhance its high quality and rugged nature: Pearl Glare White and Graphite Black.

Powerhouse Performance – Heart of an Adventurer

Sitting beneath its adventur-esque bodywork is the soul of a solid performer. The X-ADV is driven by a 745cc liquid-cooled SOHC 8-valve parallel-twin engine that makes 57.8 bhp at 6,750 rpm and a healthy 69 Nm of torque at 4,750 rpm. This powerplant, like a handy Swiss Army knife, provides sufficient grunt for highway cruising, but is tractable for city commutes.

The new X-ADV is powered by the same 745cc twin-cylinder engine with state-of-the-art technology also used in the NC750X, while the engine is matched to Honda’s advanced DCT gearbox to deliver effortless gear changes without the need for manual clutch operation. The ride-by-wire system brings four riding modes to the X-ADV: Drive, Sport, Rain and Gravel (which is customizable) offering riders the ability to alter the performance characteristics of the machine to suit the conditions.

In a further reflection of its touring profile there’s HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control) with different levels of input, and a cruise control option in order to slip along easily on the highway. With a reported top speed of 168 kph, the X-ADV delivers the performance to keep enthusiasts happy, while staying user-friendly across a broad range of abilities.

High-End Parts: Designed for Every Terrain

The X-ADV’s tough and compact tubular steel frame was designed to take on all types of riding, both in the city and out of town. The suspension components are also high quality with 41mm USD (Upside Down) forks at the front, and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear, that deliver 150mm of travel on both ends. Paired with 165mm of ground clearance, the sense of security is such that X-ADV can handle dirt tracks and broken patches smoother than a baby’s backside.

Braking is by dual radial-mount four-piston calipers and 296mm discs on the front, and a single-piston caliper and 240mm disc at the rear. Supported by dual-channel ABS, this setup feels confident while coming to a halt, no matter what type of road surface you are on. But with a kerb weight of 237kg and a 13.2-liter tank, the X-ADV is equally happy carving up city streets and long weekend adventures.

The 820mm seat height of the X-ADV isn’t going to be too inviting for smaller riders, but Honda has revised the seat to help make it easier to reach the ground, while the urethane padding has been made thicker to improve long-distance comfort. And all of this focus on ergonomics shows us that Honda is working to make a machine that isn’t just more comfortable, but more capable.

Feature-Filled Experience – Technology & Convenience at Its Best

The Honda X-ADV is packed with features that build on its all-rounder excellence. Its cockpit features a 5-inch full color TFT display that is easily visible in any lighting. This display pairs with the Honda RoadSync app, giving riders access to incoming calls, SMS notifications, turn-by-turn navigation and voice commands, and music from the handlebar.

There are plenty of touches as well, such as a USB Type-C charging port to keep devices charged while traveling, as well as a roomy 22-liter underseat storage compartment to hold daily essentials on a commute or a weekend adventure. A convenience feature of the X-ADV is the keyless ignition which enables the rider to start-up without removing the key from their pocket.

Priced at Rs 11.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the Honda X-ADV is a premium offering in the Indian two-wheeler space. Interestingly, so does its price – It’s roughly in the same range as Honda’s Elevate SUV, which says a lot about how premium the machine gets. Its closest rival here is the BMW C 400 GT maxi-scooter at Rs 11.50 lakh, however the X-ADV and its adventure readiness and more powerful engine gives it a far greater edge in performance and all-round usability.
