2025 Hyundai Venue Facelift: Bold New Design and Advanced Features Revealed in Latest Spy Shots

2025 Hyundai Venue Facelift: The sub-compact SUV is getting competitive by the day with Hyundai all set to introduce the new-gen Venue in India. Spotted testing on Indian roads recently, the heavily camouflaged test mules have hinted at some big design changes and added features that are set to make the Venue an even more attractive package than ever before. With the current model unable to keep up with the top-five compact SUVs, Hyundai doesn’t want to take any chances with the new Venue; it needs to outsell everything if it hopes to even have a prayer in this cut-throat segment.

The next-gen Hyundai Venue (QU2i) is an all-new model and not a facelift. And the spy shots that have emerged in South Korea and India indicate that while the SUV still has its distinctive boxy shape, it gets a sharp and modern look that follows Hyundai’s new design language. If reports are to be believed, the car is set to debut in the 2025 festive season and production is expected to start at the Kona’s Nasik plant by end of the current year.

Striking Exterior Redesign

The outside of the 2025 Hyundai Venue changes quite a bit, and is a visual upheaval, like a butterfly coming out of its cocoon with new, robust wings. The front of the car sees a thorough redesign, and inspiration has been taken from its bigger siblings like Creta and Alcazar. The friendly face of the current model is no longer there but it is replaced by a seamless light bar that stretches across the front, which is then flanked by bumper-mounted headlights. This split headlight arrangement gets L-shaped LED DRLs, which lends the Venue a unique signature, especially during the night-time.

The grille has been heavily redesigned as well—it now has rectangular features and horizontal slats like the ones on the Creta N Line. The SUV features thicker body cladding around the wheel arches and a higher bonnet line with squared wheel arches that make it look a lot more rugged. From the side, we can see new dual-tone alloy wheels, thicker roof rails as well as dual-tone ORVMs (outside rear-view mirrors), which adds to the premium appearance of the car.

At the back, the Venue gets linked LED tail-lamps based on the Creta, with twin L-shaped elements. Additional lighting elements are used. Front and rear silver skid plates further emphasize the SUV nature, and though the silhouette has evolved, it’s still very much a Venue.

Sophisticated and Advanced Technology and Safety Options

The next-gen Venue will jump ahead of rivals in the safety department with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), an upgrade over the existing model’s ADAS solution, which is a Level 1. This makes the Hyundai Venue the industry-first and the segment-best when it comes to safety in the small SUV segment, triggering a new trend in the space of compact SUVs.

It comes with the following ADAS features: Forward Collision Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Warning, Lane Following Assist, High Beam Assist and Leading Vehicle Departure Alert. All of these functions cooperate to help the driver drive more safely and to aid the driver in different situations and can avoid traffic accidents.

In addition to ADAS, the new Venue will also pick up front park sensors, 360-degree camera and rear disc brakes on all variants (not just the N-Line). A radar module up front, which can be seen in spy shots, lends credence to the fact that these advanced safety features are going to be included. Meanwhile, tech enthusiasts can still benefit from the BlueLink connected car solution with more than 60 connected features and HVAC remote control, and voice assistant integration (with support for Alexa and Google).

Interior Comfort & Convenience Enhancements

If you step inside the 2025 Venue, you’ll get a fresh interior like a higher-end living room geared for both comfort and style. Although full interior images are still behind closed doors, the model is said to feature a totally fresh dashboard with a bigger touchscreen infotainment screen. The instrument cluster will get an all-digital display that will offer clear readouts and can be personalised as per the preference of the rider.

In terms of comfort features, the vehicle is packed with ventilated front seats, something that has been increasingly in demand in the Indian climate. The rear seats will not only recline two steps but will also offer a comfortable journey on long drives. Other upscale features likely to include ambient lighting, fresh leatherette seating, or even a panoramic sunroof – all of which have been popular on Hyundai’s larger SUVs.

The Venue will also come with a Drive Mode system (Normal, Eco, Sport) that enables drivers to easily configure the car’s performance character by adjusting powertrain, transmission and steering performance via a touchscreen interface. The same level of personalization that has previously only been available in more expensive vehicles illustrates Hyundai’s continued push to bring premium options to the compact SUV space.

Powertrain Options & Launch Timeline

Under the bonnet, we expect the 2025 Venue to carry over the current model’s three-engine range. The options include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (82 bhp), a more exciting 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor (118 bhp), and a 1.5-litre diesel mill (114 bhp). Apart from the five-seater model, demand would only increase with the introduction of an optional 7-speed DCT and iMT (intelligent Manual Transmission).

The “DCT” badge seen on test mules indicates we can expect this popular automatic transmission option to be offered again as well. Although there’s no mention of hybrid or electric versions in the spy report, Hyundai’s worldwide commitment to electrification means electrified powertrains could join the range in future updates.

In terms of the launch time frame, the Hyundai Venue facelift is likely to be launched in the festive season 2025—it could be sometime around October. Pricing is expected to be competitive and start at around Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom), making it ready to fight it out against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, and Mahindra XUV 3XO. Sporting its aggressive new look, comprehensive tech features and optioned powertrain range, the 2025 Venue seems poised to reassume the leadership position in a contentious compact SUV segment.
